At last, the season has started. We have waited impatiently these past few months for COVID restrictions to be lifted. Finally, we can begin training. A few internal matches within the club took place, and from 20 June leagues will start, but with some changes.

Due to the shortened season, the leagues will be played as T20 competitions with a super knockout tournament at the end to determine the Belgian champion. The junior league restarts again on 20 June with the RBCC U15s taking on Antwerp Indians in the first game.

Unfortunately, the long-awaited ICC World Cup Qualifier scheduled to be held at RBCC this month is cancelled. It is a shame after all the preparations had been put in place. But, we have a brand new wicket, refurbished nets and even a newly painted clubhouse.

With the players now much fitter after Farukh’s strict regime, we are ready for action!
